Tagged, Again.

I was tagged by Margo, whom I have never met in person, but with whom I share a good real life friend. Nine weird things. That I don’t mind sharing. On the INTERNET. OK.

1. I talk to myself. Out loud, but usually in a whisper. While walking around my house. This leads to some amusing moments where the housekeeper catches me mumbling about the crazy. She usually gives me a wide berth for a while afterwards.

2. It really, really bugs me when people hold a fork incorrectly. I view it as a sign of poor breeding when I see someone over the age of 6 clutching a fork in a closed fist.

3. I hate when people who call me start the conversation by asking me who I am. This doesn’t happen so much in America, but in Israel, it is common practice for a conversation to go thusly: (Ring, ring.) WG: Hello? Obnoxious Israeli: Who’s this? WG: With whom did you wish to speak? Obnoxious Israeli: No, who is this? In the army, it’s even worse. For a while, I took to answering the phone – on the few occasions when I was in the office – “Operations, WG speaking.” And because there were TWO WGs in my unit, the reply was INVARIABLY: “Which WG?”

4. I often have to bite my tongue to refrain from correcting people’s grammar in casual conversation.

5. I dropped out of college. Twice. Once in the U.S. and once in Israel. In Israel, I was in a combined B.A./M.A. program, and I left three credits shy of completion, so I have no degree. Yet, I feel intellectually superior to most people I meet.

6. When I play piano, I keep time with my teeth. I also tend to keep time with my teeth when listening to music.

7. I cannot watch American Idol or read Dooce because I am jealous. I am a fairly jealous person by nature. It’s also not something I’m really working on.

8. If I tweeze a hair from my chin, I ALWAYS inspect it and mutter, “Gotcha!”

9. I often have conversations with famous people I imagine are my close friends. Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Garner in particular.

OK, Internet. Are you still going to read my blog now that you know these things? As for tagging, I’ll let Teej off the hook for this one since I just tagged her yesterday. So, um, Lisa and 3MGA Mom, you’re up.

Aw, man! But I want to be tagged about nine weird things instead because that sounds more fun. I officially request a tagging transfer.

So you must live for the American Idol audition shows, huh?

Yay, I love being tagged! I've got weird things up the wazoo, this should be quite easy.

Lisa: "weird things up the wazoo" made me choke on my Diet Pepsi.

See, that wasn't so hard.
I have problems reading Dooce for the same reason. Or Communication Arts magazine.

Sigh.
