Coming soon: an update on The Exciting Adventures of D. in School. A preview: Yesterday, Z's carpool came to pick her up -- she leaves about 45 minutes before S. and D. Anyway, D. heard the horn honk outside, and raced to the door with his sister's rolling backpack.

"You're not leaving yet," I told him, "and that's not your backpack anyway." Whereupon he pushed past me, raced to the car, and tried to get in it. And then he screamed hysterically when we wouldn't let him.

So I think he likes school.
